Environments

Each country is its own deployment. A checkout exists only on the host that created it.

Merchant routes use /v1/payments/merchant on that host:

Country

The country is the country of the account that owns the key. A Kenyan key works only on the Kenyan host. Every checkout from that key is KES.

Do not send currency. Do not send a country field.

The id also carries the country: cs_ke_… or cs_ug_…. The payer page uses that prefix to call the right host.

Staging charges real money

DANGER

Staging calls live mobile-money rails. A checkout for KES 1 charges a real phone KES 1.

Kahawa prices items at KES 1, KES 2, and KES 3. Test with a small amount and your own phone.

The hub has no Test/Live switch. The prefix follows the deployment that issued the key.

Production

Production hosts are not listed here. The paths stay the same. Change the host in configuration. Kahawa uses MOOKHPAY_API for that.
